"YOU SHOW ME MINE AND I'LL SHOW YOU YOURS!"
Spitfire is the
Wolf Pack’s newest and youngest member, her years totaling up to less than
a single Earth century. Her comparatively high rank in the Wolf Pack hierarchy
is not misplaced, however, for she has seen much of life in this short
time. A naturally argumentative individual, Spitfire's attitude towards
authority earned her a swift discharge from Galvatron's base on Charr,
but the trait causes minimal difficulties in her new position. Her friends
in the Pack and in the Phantom Pirate Fleet with which the Pack is
merged are her "family." It is likely that she would die defending them.
The Pack/Phantom cause of overthrowing Galvatron and instituting a viable
form of Decepticon government has become a part of her personal philosophy,
since she joined the renegades. Her contempt for her former leader has
a somewhat personal basis, though she argues that the "grudge" is justified
by fact. She is proud to be a Decepticon, and feels that Galvatron's unstable
leadership is a threat to her race's survival.
She is a believer
in the religion of a Cybertronic sub-tribe known as the Kree, and is a
follower of the fire god Cearr. This alliance grants her certain powers,
including the ability to withstand cold and heat that would be fatal to
most Transformers. She has the added ability of astral projection, projecting
ether her own spirit or, more usually, that of her ally, a human female
whose soul inhabits her body in conjunction with her own. This power enables
her to be in two places at once, and makes her a most effective spy.
A rambunctious
party animal, Spitfire is the bassist and founding member of a heavy metal
band that she and her small friend Electrofox started years before they
joined the Pack. "Rust Blight" is now a highly successful venture in its
own right. The current lineup consists of Electrofox on drums, Spitfire
on bass, Starshadow on guitar, and (a recent addition), Phantom Fleet commander
Starscream on lead vocals.
CAPABILlTIES
Spitfire is accurate
in describing herself as 'impressive." She is all-black with long, dark
metallic hair and green optic sensors. Though lightly built, her agility
makes up what she lacks in size and weight and she appears taller than
her average 41feet. Her transform mode resembles the Spitfire fighter
of Earth's 2nd World War, but the primitive appearance is deceptive.
Her gleaming raven wings conceal two state-of- the-art jet engines
capable of propelling her at speeds of nearly Mach 4, and she defends herself
with a pair of high-powered laser cannons. Her missile racks car hold up
to eight missiles, either the conventional type or "Blight Shells," which
release a corrosive gas when detonated. The gas is capable of destroying
the innards of an enemy aircraft's engines within minutes of contact, and
is most effective against pursuers.
In root mode,
Spitfire's infamous "Trash Cannon" is by far her favorite weapon.
Mounted on her right shoulder when in use, its heavily armored firing chamber
can accommodate a range of ammunition limited only by its user’s imagination.
Possibilities run the gamut from grenades and specialty acid pellets all
the way down through mud, rocks, rotten fruit and chewing gum. This versatility
makes it just as useful at parties as it is in the heat of battle.
Her armaments
are augmented by a pair of laser rifles mounted on her forearms, and by
her sinuous, poison-tipped tail. Its sting is potent enough to paralyze
most robotic lifeforms for up to three minutes, and since the tail is extremely
flexible, it can also be used for such purposes as carrying pieces of delicate
equipment, operating precision welding tools, and "goosing" good-looking
male Decepticons.
WEAKNESSES
Spitfire’s greatest
weakness lies in the possibility of being forced to fly through
the corrosive "Blight Shell" gases after one of her missiles has been detonated.
Though protected in her root mode, in jet mode her intakes remain vulnerable.
Contact with the gas could mean a severe crash. The threat of being "dislocated"
from her body during astral projection is a possibility (though a rather
remote one), and her natural impetuousness and short temper can occasionally
goad her into situations that are too much for her to handle.
